Who am I?
I am Caleb Hoversten. I love storytelling, and editing writing to really make it sing. I was born and raised in Minnesota but have since moved to Colorado. I miss the lakes, but I am enamored with the mountains and trails here. I attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where I earned a degree in Media Studies, with additional minors in both Journalism and Sports Media respectively. My college years were when I really discovered my passion to write, as well as so many other things about myself.
Everyday I make time to: Listen to music. I especially love soul, rap, R&B, and rock music.
My favorite people are: My family. I am blessed with parents who believed in me long before I ever did, and two younger siblings who are just as awesome.
My favorite quote is: “I have lived through much, and now I think I have found what is needed for happiness. A quiet secluded life in the country, with the possibility of being useful to people to whom it is easy to do good, and who are not accustomed to have it done to them; then work which one hopes may be of some use; then rest, nature, books, music, love for one's neighbor - such is my idea of happiness. And then, on top of all that, you for a mate, and children, perhaps - what more can the heart of a man desire?” -Leo Tolstoy
I feel my best when I: Exercise. I like to lift weights, hike, play basketball, and take boxing lessons on occasion.
I’m pretty good at: Appreciating the little things, like cool bugs or extra-comfy socks
I’m terrible at: Drawing, singing, and dancing. Still, these are some of my favorite things to do. I love to learn, and sucking is part of the process.
My hidden talent is: I can juggle while riding my bike
